SUBJECT: CITY COUNCIL REVIEW OF THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR
THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS
FACILITY AT 9677 LONGDEN AVENUE (APPLICATION WITHDRAWN)
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file this report .
BACKGROUND:
1. On February 21, 2014 , the City received a Conditional Use Permit application to
construct a wireless telecommunications facility at 9677 Longden Avenue .
2 . On July 22 , 2014, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to cons ider the
application and voted 4-0 to approve the project.
3 . On August 4 , 2014, the City Clerk received an appeal of the Planning
Commission 's decision.
4. On October 7, 2014 , the City Council held a public hearing to consider the appeal
and voted 3-2 to remand the project back to the Planning Commission for further
consideration .
5 . On November 13 , 2014 , the Planning Commission held a public hearing to
reconsider the project as directed by the City Council and voted 4-0 to approve the
project.
6 . On November 25 , 2014 , Mayor Pro Tern Chavez and Council Member Sternquist
filed with the City Clerk a "Request of Review" of the project pursuant to Temple City
Municipal Code Section 9-1 F-27.
7. On January 6, 2015 , the applicant submitted a letter withdrawing the Conditional
Use Permit application (Attachment "A ").

ANALYSIS:
Since the applicant has withdrawn the Conditional Use Permit application , the public
hearing on this matter is cancelled .
CONCLUSION:
The applicant has withdrawn the application for the proposed wireless facility and there
is no action for the City Council to consider.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Withdrawal of the Conditional Use Permit application has no impact on the Fiscal Year
2015-16 budget.

On behalf of AT & T Mobility, please accept this request for immediate withdrawal of the above
referenced case from further entitlement processing.
AT & T is in th e process of reevaluating its network construction priorities for the next few
years . Rather than r equiring the City to spend more time and resources processing the
app l icati on, we've e lect ed to withdraw the application. We intend to resubmit to the City when
we have a better se nse of how and w hen to address network needs in the project area. Thank
yo u for your time and efforts on this case -we look forward to working with the City in the
future.
