BACKGROUND: On January 21 , 2015 , the Parks and Recreation Commission held their re gularly scheduled meeting . ANALYSIS : Following is a summary of actions taken at the January 21 , 2015 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting: 1 . ROLL CALL: Present: Commissioner-Fish , Georgi no , Lopez, Vice-Chairman Rosso , Chairman Haddad Absent: Commissioner -None Excused : Commissioner -None 2 . CONSENT CALENDAR The Parks and Recreation Commission approved the minutes from the ir Regular Meeting of December 17, 2014 and received and filed the monthly report for December 2014. City Council February 3 , 2015 Page 2 of 2 3. NEW BUSINESS A. REQUEST FROM TEMPLE CITY AMERICAN YOUTH SOCCER ORGANIZATION (AYSO) FOR RESERVED USE OF A PORTION OF THE ATHLETIC FIELDS AT LIVE OAK PARK FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PRACTICES FEBRUARY 1-MAY 31 ,2015 The Commission approved the request with the following conditions : 1) Use is to be coordinated so as not to conflict with the City's mini-soccer program or previously approved applications (TCALL and TCASA); and 2) Use is restricted to practices only (no games). 4. MATTERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS A. The Commission received and filed the Parks and Recreation Director's Report for January 2015. B . Chairman Haddad appointed Commissioners Georgina and Lopez to serve on the Live Oak Park and Temple City Park Facility Master Plan Ad Hoc Committee , the purpose of which is to review and provide comments on the preliminary facility master plans . CONCLUSION: The City Council is requested to receive and file this report. FISCAL IMPACT: This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2014-15 City Budget.
