A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND
GENERAL AND MANAGEMENT SALARY SCHEDULES
,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has
adopted an Employee Classification and Position Plan and amended
same as needed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has
adopted a salary resolution with salary schedules including
General and Management salary schedules; and
WHEREAS, the City has identified a need for the
positions of Anti-Graffiti Program Manager, Code Enforcement
Manager, Dial-A-Ride Driver/Dispatcher as well as minor
organizational and language changes in some existing position
statements; and
WHEREAS, the required job analyses have been completed
and the clasification statements prepared on that basis; and
WHEREAS, the Personnel Board has reviewed the new
clasifications and changes to some existing position statements.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. Amend the Employee Classification and
Position Plan to include the new classification statements for
the position of Anti-Graffiti Program Manager, Code Enforcement
Manager, and Dial-A-Ride Driver/Dispatcher.
Section 2. Amend the Employee Classification and
Position Plan per the attached recommendations from Cooperative
Personnel Services except as follows:
A) INACTIVE CLASSES
i) Reallocate incumbent Auman Resources Director,
Michael T. Heriot to classification of Assistant
City Manager. Incumbent to retain responsi-
bilities of Human Resources Director. This
action is effective July 1, 1990.
ii) Maintain the classification specification of
Assistant Director of Public Works as currently
identified in class plan.
iii) Reallocate incumbent Assistant Public Works
Director Emilio Murga to classification of
Director of Public Works/Civil Engineer and grant
incumbent three (3) years to attain Professional
Engineer certification effective July 1, 1990.

B) NEW CLASSES
i) Amend Cooperative Personnel Services recommendation
from Anti-Graffiti Program Supervisor to Anti-
Graffiti Manager and reallocate individual currently
performing duties to new position at salary range 41
on the Management salary schedule.
ii) Eliminate proposed class specification of City
Engineer.

iii) Eliminate proposed class specification of Director
of Public works and retain current specification
for Director of Public Works/Civil Engineer.
C) REVISED CLASS SPECIFICATIONS
i) Reallocate incumbent Interim Director of Community
' Development, Kenrick Karefa-Johnson, to Director of
Community Development upon resolution of
pertinent matters with incumbent Director.
ii) Reallocate incumbent Interim Director of Finance,
Alfretta Earnest, to classification of Director
of Finance effective July 1, 1990.
D) POSITION ALLOCATION/SALARY RECOMMENDATIONS
i) Reallocate incumbent Secretary, Carol de Jesus, to
classification of Administrative Analyst II,
effective July 1, 1990.
ii) Reallocate incumbent Equipment Mechanic, Stanley
Grayer, to classification of Anti-Graffiti
Program Manager at range 41 on Management salary
schedule, effective July 1, 1990.
iii) Reallocate incumbent Code Enforcement Officer,
Prasine Martinez, to classification of Code
Enforcement Manager, effective July 1, 1990.
Section 3. Amend the Management salary schedule to include
' the title of Anti-Graffiti Program Manager at the 41M level.
Section 4. Amend the Management salary schedule to include
the title of Code Enforcement Manager the 47M level.
Section 5. This resolution shall be come effective
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of
July , 1990.
