A RESOLUTION OF TAE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO OBTAIN INFORMAL BIDS
FOR PURCHASE OF COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND
APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS TO COVER EQDIPMENT
PURCHASE
WHEREAS, the City purchased an Ultimate 2020 Computer
System in 1986 to process and maintain accountinq and utility
data; and
WHEREAS, this spstem has limited storage capacity and
cannot accommodate additional proqrams and data; and
WAEREAS, the purchase of additional equipment is needed
to upgrade current computer system; and
WHEREAS, the purchase can be completed more expedi-
tiousiy and efficiently if done through informal biddinq; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6-3.13 (c) of the Lynwood
Municipal Code, Council can authorize purchases throuqh
informal bids by a 4/5 vote; and
WHEREAS, appropriations for F.Y. 1990-91 did not
include purahase of computer equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of
the City of Lynwood does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby finds and
determines that the purchase of computer equipment can be
completed more expeditiously and efficiently through informal
bids.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is
authorized to make the following appropriations:

' section 3. That this resolution shall qo into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
