A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING STAFF TO OBTAIN INFORMAL BIDS
FOR CONTEMPLATED FACILITIES IMPROVEMENTS AT BATEMAN
HALL AND THE CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING
ADDITIONAL FUNDS TO COVER THESE IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, the City has determined that certain facility
improvements are necessary to increase the comfort, beauty and
modernization of Bateman Hall; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that certain facility
improvements are necessary in the City Manager's Office to
further increase the efficiency of the work environment; and
WAEREAS, the facility improvements can be completed
more expeditiously and efficiently if done through informal
bidding; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6-3.13(c) of the Lynwood
Municipal Code, Council can authorize purchases through informal
bids by a 4/5 vote; and
WHEREAS, appropriations for FY 1990-91 did not include
funds for facility improvement as stated above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Lynwood, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds
and determines that the facility improvements at Bateman Hall and
the City Manager's Office can be completed more expeditiously
and efficiently through informal bids.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager or his designee is authori2ed
to make an appropriation of $55,000 from the General Fund to
' fund these improvements.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this resolution, and it shall thereupon be in full
force and effect.
