A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
AUTHORIZING THE CREATION OF AN EXPENDITURE BUDGET FOR FUNDS
DERIVED FROM SHERIFF DEPARTMENT FORFEITURE ACTIVITIES
WHEREAS, under Federal and State laws enacted in 1984,
the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is allowed to
seize profits and property derived from illegal drug
activities; and
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Department's forfeiture
' activities have resulted in the City of Lynwood receiving a
portion of the seizure funds; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to establish a budqet for the
expenditure of these funds for eligible law enforcement
activities which do not supplant any activities already
contracted with the Sheriff's Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Lynwood, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Council of the City of Lynwood
authorizes the budgeting of available forfeiture funds to
the following general categories and accounts:

SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
