CITY OF TIFFIN ORDINANCE NO. 2003- 257
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY
LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 AND
CURRENTLY OWNED BY WASHINGTON PARK PARTNERS
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA:
Section 1. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend the official zoning
map of the Municipal Code of Tiffin, Iowa, concerning the following described property to-
wit,located in Tiffin,Johnson County,Iowa.
Section 2. Amendment. The following legally described property:
The southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of
Section 33, Township 80 North, Range 7 West of the 5th

P. M., except for the five (5) acre piece in the northeast
corner.
shall be changed from zoning classification from A-1, Agricultural to M-2, Heavy
Industrial, and further, that the official zoning map of the City be amended to reflect the
change described herein.
Section 3. Penalty Provision. The city may elect, at its sole discretion, to
prosecution any violation either as simple misdemeanor or a municipal infraction.
Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 5. Severability. If any section, provision, or part of this ordinance shall be
adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of
the ordinance as a whole, or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional.
Section 6. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect after its final passage,
approval, and posting as provided by law.
On the 12th day of February 2003, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Ge r i c ke introduced Ordinance No.2 0 0 3-2 5 7 , and
moved that it be given its first reading. The motion was seconded by Councilperson

Ayes: Bartels, Dils, Gericke, Shaffer and Huedepohl
Nays: None Absent: None
Fivemembers of the council being present and having voted "Aye",Mayor Glenn R. Potter
declared the motion carried, and Ordinance No. 2003-257 , was read the first time and
discussed and placed on record.
Thereupon, it was moved by Councilperson Di ls and seconded by
Councilperson Shaffer that the laws and rules providing
that ordinances be considered and voted on for passage at two council meetings prior to the
meeting at which it is to be finally passed be suspended and dispensed with and that
Ordinance No. 2003-257 be placed on its last reading.
Ayes: Shaffer, Bartels, Dils, Huedepohl, and Gericke
Nays: None_ Absent: None
F i vthembers of the council being present and having voted "Aye",Mayor Glenn R. Potter
declared the motion carried, and Ordinance No. 2003-257 , was then placed on its last
reading and was read the last time.
Thereupon, it was moved by Councilperson Gericke and seconded by
Councilperson Dils that Ordinance No.
2003-257 be placed upon its final passage and adopted.
Ayes: Huedepohl, Gericke, Dils, Bartels, and Shaffer
Nays: None. Absent: None_
Fivmembers of the council being present and having voted "Aye",Mayor Glenn R. Potter
declared the motion carried, and the ordinance was passed and adopted.
Whereupon the mayor declared that Ordinance No. 2003-257 be adopted and
signified his approval of same by fixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the council on the 12 th day of February 2003 and approved
by the mayor on the 1 7th day of February 2003.

I, Clerk of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, state that an ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
TIFFIN, IOWA,FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS
SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80 AND CURRENTLY OWNED BY WASHINGTON
PARK PARTNERS, and known as No. 2003-257 was duly passed by the council on
the 12th day of February 2003, and signed by the mayor on the 17th day of
February 2003, and published on the 19thday of February 2003, by
posting copies thereof in three public places within the limits of the City of Tiffin, Iowa.
