A. CONSIDERATION OF ONE-WAY ALLEYS IN THE DOWNTOWN
Transtech Engineers Transportation Analyst, Jana Robbins gave a
presentation of the survey conducted to remove one-way signage from the
four alleys in the area bounded by Las Tunas Drive, Cloverly Avenue,
Woodruff Avenue, and Kauffman Avenue and to allow two-way travel in the
alleys. Additionally, the recommendation was made to install two additional
sets of speed humps for both travel directions in each alley and to install 15
mph speed limit signs at each end of each alley.
The Commission unanimously approved the recommendation to revert the
existing one-way travel back to two-way travel and to install15 mph signage.
The Commission did not approve the additional speed humps, but rather
directed staff to upgrade the existing speed humps by reflectorizing them
and installing high reflective signage.
