A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LIGHTING S STEMIONNFOURTH AVENUEE NORTHEOFTREET
JOSEPHINE STREET THROUGH AN INFORMAL BID PROCESS
WHEREAS, it is a policy of the City of Lynwood to
improve street lighting system through undergrounding; and
' WHEREAS, the existing lighting system on Fourth Avenue,
north of Josephine Street is of a wooden pole type with overhead
wires; and
WHEREAS, the recent development at 11729 Fourth Avenue
called for undergrounding and improvements to the street lighting
system; and
WHEREAS, working in conjunction with the developer to
improve the lighting system, the Department of Public Works
proposes to upgrade the lighting system at approximately $7,000;
and
WHEREAS, considering the size of the project, it can
be done more efficiently and economically through informal bid
procedure; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6-3.13 of the Municipal Code,
Council can authorize the installation of undergrounding street
lighting system through informal bid procedure.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim and resolve as follows:
' Section 1. The City Council hereby finds and
determines that the installation of underground street lighting
system on Fourth Avenue, north of Josephine Street can be more
economically and efficiently effected by an informal bid
process.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect imme-
diately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 4th day of
September, , 1990.
