A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF A SEWER
LATERAL AT 12709 GIBSON AVENUE THROUGH AN INFORMAL
BID PROCESS
WHEREAS, the resident at 12709 Gibson Avenue desires to
make a connection to the City's sanitation system; and
WHEREAS, the existing City sewer main stops at approxi-
mately 100 feet west of Gibson Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works proposes to
extend the sewer system by installing 160 feet of 6-inch lateral
through a sewer easement at 4726 Arlington Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the construction cost is estimated at $6,500; and

WHEREAS, due the small size of the work, it can be
completed more economically and efficiently, if done through an
informal bid process; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6-3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal
Code, Council can authorize purchases through informal bids by a
4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, proclaim and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby finds and determines
that the installation of the sewer lateral can be more economi-
cally and efficiently completed by an informal bid procedure.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
