A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CONDUCT A
PUBLIC HEARTNG TO ASCERTAIN WHETHER A NUISANCE
IS BE[NG MAINTAINED ON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Lynwood has recommended
that this City Council find that certain premises within the City of Lynwood may he
maintained in such a way as to constitute a nuisance; and
WHEREAS, certain procedures are set forth in Chapter 3-13 of the City
Code of the City of Lynwood, pursuant to which nuisance may be abated;
~~ WHEREAS, the conditions on said property which may constitute a nuisance
are:
1. Overgrown vegetation throughout the site.
2. Junk, trash and debris scattered throughout site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
Lynwood does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. Based upon the aforesaid recommendation of the City
Manager, this Council hereby finds and determines that the following described property
may presently be maintained ih such manner as to constitute a nuisance. Such property is
described as Lot 031 of Tract 6169, Page 006; generally known as 11419 Pear Street, in the
City of Lynwood.
Section 2. The method(s) by which said conditions could be abated
include, but are not limited to:
1. Remove all the overgrown vegetation at the site, properly dispose of it
and maintain site.
~~ 2. Remove and properly dispose all the junk, trash and debris currently ai
the site and maintain site clean.
Section 3 The owner of said property, Beneva Jackson is a:hereby
ordered to take said steps in order to abate said nuisance pursuant to Chapter 3-13.3.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THIS COUNCIL therefore declares
its intention to conduct a public hearing, pursuant to Chapter 3-13 of the City Code of
Lynwood to ascertain whether the above described conditions constitute a public nuisance,
the abatement of which is appropriate under public power of the City of Lynwood, and,
THE CITY COUNCIL hereby fixes the hours of 7:30 p.m., December 7th,
1993, as the time and the City Council Chambers, 11330 Bullis Road, as the place for said
public hearing; and the City Clerk is authorized and directed to serve and post certified
copies of the resolution in the manner set forth in Chapter 3-13.5 of the Lynwood City
Code.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City of
Lynwood held on the sixteenth day of November of 1993. _~ _~~
