A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO GOLDEN BEAR
ARBORIST, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $52,472.00.00 FOR
THE 1993 TREE PLANTING PROJECT N0. 93-1, CIP
PROJECT NO. 5-5154, FY 1993-94

WHEREAS, the City applied for a US Small Business
Administration grant through the California Department of
Forestry and Fire Protection to plant approximately 280 trees
citywide; and
WHEREAS, the City's grant request was funded in the
amount of $50,400; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on October 21, 1993
and Golden Bear Arborist was the apparent lowest bidder at
$52,320; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that the
company has the necessary experience for this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:

That the contract for the 1993 Tree
33-1 , CIP Project No. 5-5154, be awarded to
Inc. for their low bid of $52,472.00.
That the Mayor is hereby authorized to
between the City of Lynwood and Golden Bear
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this
December 1993.
