A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CAUSE RECON-
STRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS PURSUANT TO THE
PROVISIONS OF SECTION 5870, ET. SEQ., OF THE STREETS
AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Temple City does
hereby find, determine and declare as follows:
(a) That more than sixty percent (60 %) of the unim-
proved properties have petitioned for the re-
construction of the public alleyway at the following
following location:
Between El Monte and Persimmon Avenues
from Grand Avenue to the southerly City
boundary
(b) That it is the intention of the City Council to
cause the alley reconstruction, hereinafter,
"improvements" to be constructed with the expenses
to be divided between the City (50% of the construc-
tion costs) and the owners of properties in and along
said above described area (50% of the construction
costs) pursuant to Section 5870, et. seq. of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 2. That the Superintendent of the Streets is hereby
instructed to mail and post notices to construct said improvements,
as required by law.
SECTION 3. That pursuant to said Section, et. seq., the City
Council does hereby declare that on October 18, 1983, at 7:30 p.m.
or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard in the Council
Chamber, at 5938 N. Kauffman Avenue, Temple City, CA, it will hear
and pass upon any and all objections or protests to the ordering of
the construction of said improvements.
SECTION 4. That all protests must be in writing and filed with
the City Clerk on or before the time set for hearing of objections
and protests.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution, and shall forward copies hereof to the Superin-
tendent of Streets.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of September, 1983.
