A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
AMENDMENT TO A PORTION OF THE
GENERAL PLAN WITH RESPECT TO LOT 73
OF TRACT N0.10503 MB 158-3-4 OF THE
LOS ANGELES COUNTY RECORDER OFFICE,
LOCATED AT 3923 LOUISE LYNWOOD, CA.,
FROM A COMMERCIAL DESIGNATION TO A
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
DESIGNATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood, did
pursuant to law, conduct a public hearing on a proposed amendment
to the Lynwood General Plan with respect to the above subject
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Community Development has
determined that the proposal will not have a negative effect on
the environment, and has therefore declared a Negative
Declaration for the proposal, which is on file in the Community
Development Department and the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has determined that Single
Family Residential use of this property would be consistent with
the Goals and Policies of the General Plan.
Section 1. The City Council hereby finds and determines as
follows:
A. The proposed amendment will be consistent with the
objectives and the development policies of the City of
Lynwood.
B. The proposed amendment will not unreasonably constrain
the use of property by landowners and developers.
C. The proposed amendment will not adversely affect the
General Plan.
D. The Single Family Residential designation of the
property would be compatible with surrounding land uses.
E. A General Plan Amendment to Single Family Residential
would be consistent with the Goals and Policies of the
General Plan.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood, based
upon the aforementioned finding and determinations, hereby
approves the proposed amendment.
