RESOLUTION APPROVING A BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR FY23
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a municipal corporation, organized and operating under
the laws of the State of Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, the City has a need to amend its budget based on inaccurate fund balances that occurred
throughout the fiscal year; and,
WHEREAS, staff has proposed a budget amendment that corrects inaccurate fund balances utilizing the
Iowa Department of Management's website; and,
WHEREAS, a budget amendment public hearing was advertised in the Quad City Times on May 11, 2023;
and,
WHEREAS, a budget amendment public hearing was held on May 23, 2023; and,
WHEREAS, council has reviewed and discussed the budget amendment and recommends its passage.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERDALE, IOWA,
THAT:
SECTION 1: The budget amendment published in the Quad City Times on May 11, 2023, and reviewed
and discussed in a public hearing on May 23, 2023, is hereby approved.
SECTION 2: The Clerk is directed to file the budget amendment with the Scott County Auditor no later
than May 31, 2023.
SECTION 3: The Clerk is directed to submit the budget amendment on the Iowa Department of
Management's website no later than May 31, 2023.
