A Disciplinary Hearing was called to order by Mayor Peter J. Sica on
Thursday, August 22, 1996 at 7:30 P.M., Council Office, Municipal
Building, 61 Cooke Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey.
Upon individual roll call, the following were noted present:
Councilmember Deborah Bialowarczuk
" James Failace
" Jack Fazekas
" James O'Brien
" John Vesey
Noted absent was Councilmember William Feingold.
Also noted present were Borough Attorney Robert A. Hedesh, Robert
Kately, Pat DeBella, Paul Mercatanti - AFSCME Staff Representative and
David Friedman, Esq. of Balk, Oxfeld, Mandell and Cohen.
Mailed to The Home News & Tribune, The Star Ledger and posted on the
bulletin board on August 19, 1996.
Disciplinary Hearing - Robert Kately.
Mayor Sica asked ifMr. Kately had someone representing him?
Attorney Friedman said yes. He is David Friedman of Balk, Oxfeld,
Mandell and Cohen of Newark. He asked if this would be closed?
Mayor Sica said they could have it closed or open.
Upon Mr. Kately's request, the meeting was adjourned into Closed
Session at aproximately 7:35 P.M

Upon unanimous affirmative vote of the full Council present, the meeting
was opened at approximately 9:30 P.M.
