RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO KE FLATWORK FOR THE CITY
HALL PARKING LOTS RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a municipal corporation, organized and operating under
the laws of the State of Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, the City has advertised for and opened bids for the City Hall Parking Lots Reconstruction
Project on June 12, 2023; and,
WHEREAS, MSA Professional Services opened and reviewed two bids during the bid opening; and,
WHEREAS, MSA Professional Services recommends the City award KE Flatwork's bid in the amount of
$375,957.25 as the lowest responsible bidder; and,
WHEREAS, MSA Professional Services requests a final decision on awarding Alternative A (furnish
dumpster enclosure) at a cost of $27,000 and Alternative B (installation of dumpster enclosure) at a cost
of $4,000, at their discretion; and,
WHEREAS, the funding source for this action is 301-210-6499, Capital Improvement - Contract
Services, which is reflected in the FY24 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverdale, Iowa, that:
Section 1: KE Flatwork's bid for the City Hall Parking Lots Reconstruction Project is accepted at a total
cost of $375,957.25.
Section 2: KE Flatwork's bid for Alternative A, furnish dumpster enclosure, is ❑ accepted ❑x not
accepted at a total cost of $27,000.
Section 3: KE Flatwork's bid for Alternative B, installation of dumpster enclosure, is ❑ accepted
x❑ not accepted at a total cost of $4,000.
Section 4: The Mayor is authorized to execute the Notice of Award for KE Flatwork to complete the
City Hall Parking Lots Reconstruction project.
Passed and approved this 13th day of June 2022.
