RESOLUTION APPROVING RELEASE OF RIGHT TO
REVERSION CONCERNING 708 E. CEDAR STREET
IN THE CITY OF MARCUS, IOWA
WHEREAS, on February 7, 2023, the City Code Official advised that former abandoned
real estate located at 708 E. Cedar St. was rehabilitated successfully by Gary L. Edwards
and Connie L. Edwards;
WHEREAS, a resolution by the City Council is required in order for the City of Marcus,
Iowa to release its right of reversion to the real estate in advance of the two-year
deadline.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Marcus Iowa,
hereby releases its right of reversion to the following described real estate:
The East 85 feet of Lots Eight and Nine (8-9) and the East 85 feet of the South
20 feet of Lot Ten (10), all in Block Three (3), Barnes Addition to the Town of
Marcus, Iowa.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, this document shall be filed with the Cherokee County
