HomeMy Public PortalAbout20210519 - Hopkinton Historic District Commission - Meeting MinutesTOWN OF HOPKINTON HOPKINTON HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 7:00 PM - Remote Meeting on Zoom MEETING MINUTES Commission Members Present:Amy Ritterbusch, Beth Watson, Stacy Spies, Muneeza Nasrullah, Jeanette Thomson Commission Members Absent:Melanie Smith Also Present:No one 7:06 PM Stacy Spies called the meeting to order 7:00 PM Creation of a Main Street Historic District - updates,next steps ●Stacy Spies will work on a letter to residents of the potential new district to let them know we have new property survey results available. ●Amy Ritterbusch will work on HHDC website over the summer and add the new survey forms to the website. ●The group determined that early fall would be a good time to do a walk with neighbors of the district and planning could be done over the summer. Main Street Corridor Project -updates ●The Cookie Corner plaque on the doughboy triangle has been relocated for safe keeping during construction ●The Xmas lights have been removed from the tree on the Common by Parks & Rec. ●Construction is full underway on Marathon Way and near the Common. Approve Meeting Minutes - ●2021-03-11 Minutes - Amy reported that they are not ready yet. ●2021-04-08 Minutes - Motion to Approve made by Beth Watson and seconded by Stacy Spies. ●Roll call vote: ○YES (5) Amy Ritterbusch, Beth Watson, Stacy Spies, Muneeza Nasrullah, Jeanette Thomson ○No (0) ○Abstain(0) Topics that may be discussed at any time during the meeting: ●17 Main Street - updates, if any - No update ●One Ash Street sign - comments, if any - Closed topic ●Claflin Fountain - Garden Plantings (update, next steps, if any) - Amy mentioned that we could coordinate with Parks & Rec on a grant in future to fill in the plantings more ●Identify future agenda items ○We need a new committee member who is a resident of the district, Stacy will ask Elaine if a letter can be sent specifically to residents since it is a small group of people who would even be eligible to apply. ○Jeanette Thomson’s term on the committee is up on 6/30/31.
