Email Notification
The City of Orlando uses email for all notifications, unless otherwise required by Florida law,
This includes all notices with information updates and courtesy notices such as reminders for
campaign treasurer reports, qualifying information, handbook updates, etc. if you wish to
receive such notices, you must provide your email address in the electronic Campaign Finance
system.
Electronic Filing of Campaign Reports and Electronic Sign,;tures
Carnpaign Finance is an Internet system for the recording and reporting of campaign finance
activity. All reports of campaign finance activity must be filed with the City Clerk using Campaign
Finance available online at , , , ., : unless an
alternative filing procedure is required by the Americans with Disabilities Act of X11)0 or other
applicable law.
Credentials to log into the Campaign Finance Account are approved on an individual basis and
may not be shared . even with members of the same campaign or committee. Each user who is
approved for credentials is responsible for protecting those credentials train disclosure or
compromise. Once credentials have been approved for a user, that user is deemed responsible
for every report filed using those credential; until such time as the City Clerk is notified of
disclosure or cornprornise of those credentials. Campaign or committee roust immediately notify
the City Clerk if any user associated with that campaign or committee becomes ineligible to hold
the credentials issued to that user.
Each report must be completed find filed through Campaign 'Finance system before
midnight, Eastern Time, at the end of the due date. Reports rgot filed by this time are bate
and are su.ublect to the penalties under Sections 106:(17(J) o'r 106..29(3) F. as a1 piicable.

Application and Acknowledgement
3y filing a report through Campaign Finance a candidate, committee chair and treasurer or
deputy treasurer (i) are deemed to have electronically signed under oath and.to have certified
the correctness of the report in accordance with Sections 106.04(4)(d), 106.07(5), or 106.29(2),
F.S., as applicable (Sections 106.0705 and 106.0706, F.S.); (ii) Are responsible for the accuracy
and veracity of the report; and (iii) commits a criminal act by certifying a report that is known to
be incorrect, false or incomplete.
A report is deemed filed with the City Clerk only when Campaign Finance issues a receipt
confirming the date and time at which the report was filed. Ca paign Finance Ali issue a
separate notice for the subsequent acceptance or rejection of the report by the City Clerk. Once
a report has been filed with the City Clerk, it may be changed only by filing an amendment to
that report.
The City of Orlando is not responsible for providing the internet access necessary to access
Campaign Finance, and problems with an individual candidate's internet access at a residence,
office, coffee shop, etc. do not excuse late filing by that candidate, The City Clerk will provide an
alternate filing deadline for candidates only in the event that the reporting syste, is generally
unavailable and all candidates are affected.
By signing this Application and Acknowledgement of Email and Electronic Filing information,
acknowledge that I have read, understood and agree to the above provisions, and understand
that notifications from the City Clerk's Office will be via email, unless otherwise required by
Florida law. Furthermore, I affirmatively agree that my electronic signature is the legally binding
equivalent to ray handwritten signature (F.S, 668.004). Whenever 1 execute an electronic
signature, it has the same validity and meaning as my handwritten signature. 1 understand and
acknowledge that I am accountable and responsible for actions performed under such electronic
signature and I agree that it is my responsibility to safeguard my electronic sign-.,ture and my
Campaign Finance Account by using all appropriate measures, such as safeguarding all user
login and password information and logging out of the system,
