Minutes of April 18, 2017
Brewster Town Hall, 4 p.m,
Attending; Dolly Howell, Allin Thompson, Chuck Bartlett, Chris Miller, Judith Bruce,
Fran MCClennen
Allin called the meeting to order at 4 pm.
Chuck moved approval of the minutes of the March 14, 2017 meeting. Judith
seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous,
Allin asked Carole to provide the coordinator's report on activities;
1. A meeting was held with Paul Nledzwiecki, Brian Dudley and Alliance members to
plan a coordinated presentation of the composite nutrient management analysis to
Selectmen with the Commission and MassDEP. Carole reviewed the tentative plan
to present to Boards of Selectmen individually, and then hold a joint meeting with
all four Boards, The Steering Committee verbally agreed with the general plan.
2. Carole reviewed draft letters of support for Town Meeting articles 11 and 13 in
Harwich and article 38 in Chatham. The articles are intended to move forward with
design of sewering in the Harwich portion of the Pleasant Bay watershed, and the
IMA between Chatham and Harwich. Judith moved that the Alliance support the
Harwich and Chatham articles, and to send support letters to the respective Board
of Selectmen. Dolly offered a second to the motion which was voted 6-0-0.
3. Presentation of the Sea Level Rise Study is scheduled for May 1811, at 6 pm at the
Chatham Annex. The draft erosion management guidelines also will be announced
for public comment.
The next Steering Committee meeting will be May 9 at 4 pm,
The mecting was adjourned at 4: 50 pot
