B. Discussion with Town Administrator and Chair of the Board of Selectmen (30 minutes)
The committee would like to hear fi-om Mr. Embury and Mr. Dickson as to town planning
and their desire to use the Eddy School.
C. FY17 Budget Review 00 minutes)
Giovanna Venditti, Director of Finance and Operations, will review the expense report.
D. A-moint Sinale Member to Approve Bill Warrants (10 minutes)
The Municipal Modernization Bill inserted the following language into Section 56 of
Chapter 41 of the Mass. General laws:
"For purposes of this section, the board of selectmen and any other board,
committee or head of department consisting of more than I member authorized to
expend money , may designate any 1 of its members to approve all bill drafts, orders
and payrolls;provided,however,that the member shall make available to the board,
committee or other department head, at the first meeting following such action,a
record of such actions. This providing shall not limit the responsibility of each
member of the board in the event of a noncompliance with this section."
1. This only applies to municipal school districts.
2. It is OPTIONAL. Note the word"may" in the language.
3. If a district chooses to do this,the member who approves "shall"provide a
report the Committee at the next meeting.

The Superintendent will review the preliminary FYI budget and accompanying
documents.
