A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
~~F LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO COPP CONTRACTING
INC., IN THE AMOUNT OF $84,000 FOR THE STREET
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT - CENTURY BOULEVARD FROM ATLANTIC
AVENUE TO ABBOTT ROAD
WHEREAS, On February 17, 1987, the City Council
authorized staff to advertise for bids for the Street
Improvement Project Century Boulevard from Atlantic Avenue
to Abbott Road; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on March 19, 1987,
and Copp Contracting, Inc. of Whittier was the low bidder with a
bid price of $84,000; and
WHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that the
contractor has a good reputation and the necessary experience in
the street construction.
WHEREAS, the project was budgeted for $60,000 of SB 300
Fund for Design, construction and construction administration;
and
WHEREAS, an additional $30,000 of SB 300 Fund will be
added to offset higher construction and contract administration
costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
' Section 1. That the contract for the Street
Improvement Project be awarded to Copp Contracting, Inc. of
Whittier.
Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is
authorized to make the following transfers and additional
appropriations.

Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect
