A RfiSOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AGREHMENT
WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANG6LES TO PROVIDE PARCEL MAP
AND TRACT MAP CHECRING 5ERVICES
WHfiREAS, due to an increase in subdivision activity in
the City, there is a need to supplement the capacity of staff to
check parcel maps and tract maps, and
WHEREAS, the Subdivision Map Act, Section 6643 of the
Government Code, provides that upon mutual agreement of the
respective legislative bodies the County Surveyor may perform
the examination of parcel maps and tract map for cities; and
WHEREAS, the County of Los Angeles Public Works
Department has the expertise and ability to provide the services.
WHEREAS, the agreement shall be effective July 1,
1987 to June 30, 1988.
WHSREAS, the agreement shall be automatically renewed
for a one year period and at the close of each fiscal year
thereafter unless the City desires to terminate the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood as follows:
Section_1: That the City Council authorizes the Mayor
, to execute an agreement with the County of Los Angeles, Public
Works Department to examine parcel maps and tract maps for the
City o£ Lynwood.
Section 2: That the County Engineer shall collect such
fees as are so provided as the County's sole compensation for the
services rendered.
Section 3: That the County Engineer shall have all
powers of the City Engineer or other City officials responsible for
the collection of such fees and that the City shall provide full
cooperation therein.
Section_4: That this resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
