THE PLAN

WI~RF.AS, the City of Lynwood needs to revise and update the
General Plan and its various el~nents; and
WI~RF]F~S, the City of Lynwood desires to add a Ccarenunity Design
Ela~ient, Econanic Develognent/Reclevelogrient El~r~ent and specific plans to
the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood must prepare request for proposals
to seek consultants to perfoixn the General Plan revision and preparation of
two new elements to the Plan; and
W~2EPS, a consultant will be utilized to prepare the request
for proposals; and
wHERF1LS, no monies have been appropriated in the FY 1986-87
Budget for this project;
NoW, THEREFY~RE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby, find, proclaim, and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the utilization and selection of a cronsultant
to prepare the request for proposals is hereby approved.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute an agreement
for planning consulting services in an amount not to exceed $9,000.
Section 3. That the City City Manager or his designee is
authorized to make the following appropriation:

Section 4. That this resolution shall go into effect inenedtately
upon its adoption.
