A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
FINDING THAT THE USE OF TAXES ALLOCATED FROM THE AMENDMENT
NO. SIX EXPANSION AREA OF REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA "A" FOR
THE PURPOSE OF IMPROVING AND INCREASING THE COMMUNITY'S
SUPPLY OF LOW AND MODERATE INCOME HOUSING OUTSIDE THE
PROJECT AREA EXPANSION WILL BE OF BENEFIT TO THE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency has prepared a
proposed Amendment to the Redevelopment Plan (as Amended) for
Redevelopment Project Area "A" which would result in the
allocation of taxes from the Project Area Expansion to the
Lynwood Redevelopment Agency for purposes of redevelopment; and
WHEREAS, Section 33334.2 of the California Community
Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000, et seg.)
requires that not less than 20 percent of all taxes so allocated
be used by the Agency for the purpose of improving and increasing
the community's supply of low and moderate income housing
available at affordable housing cost, unless certain findings are
made; and
WHEREAS, Section 33334.2(g) of the Health and Safety Code
provides that the Agency may use such funds outside the Project
Area if a finding is made by resolution of the Agency and the
City Council that such use will be of benefit to the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS:

The City Council hereby finds that the use of taxes
allocated from the Sixth Amendment Expansion Area of
Redevelopment Project "A" for the purpose of improving and
increasing the community's supply of low and moderate income
housing available at affordable costs outside the Project Area
Expansion and within the City of Lynwood will be of benefit to
the Project.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood this 5 th day of July ~ 1988.
