Inspired by the creativity and beauty of original, handmade artwork? Then join us in Historic Downtown Leesburg at the intersection of Market and King Streets on September 26 and 27, 2015, for a journey into the world of original art by artisans from across America a the 4th Annual Leesburg Fine Art Festival! The festival is once again graciously hosted by the Town of Leesburg and the Friends of Leesburg Public Arts. Explore the world of art in the breathtaking creations of painters, jewelers, sculptors, digital artisans, photographers, mixed-media and fiber artists. Select from handmade originals by artists in glass, ceramics, metalwork and woodworking. Purchase spectacular pieces for your home or office. Commission a piece specifically for you! Become an art collector and discover something of yourself in the process! Meet and interact with these talented artisans and learn how your pieces were created. Artists are available throughout the even t. Hours are Saturday from 10-6 and Sunday from 11-5. Admission is free! There will be street closures in downtown Leesburg for this event. King Street from Cornwall Street to Loudoun Street and Market Street from Church Street to Wirt Street will be closed, beginning at 5:30pm on Friday, September 25. Streets should reopen a t approximately 9pm on Sunday, September 27. The Friend of Leesburg Public Arts’ mission is to provide funding and support for public art and arts-related programs within the Town of Leesburg. They are currently raising funds for a mural on the Loudoun Street side of the Town Hall Parking Garage and a Sculpture Garden in Raflo Park.
