Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to Sign a Construction Agreement with
KE Flatwork for the City Hall Parking Lots Reconstruction Project
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa (City), is a Municipal Corporation, organized and operating under
the laws of the State of Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, on June 13, 2023, in Resolution # 2023-043, the City awarded a contract for the City Hall
Parking Lots Reconstruction Project to KE Flatwork; and,
WHEREAS, KE Flatwork has submitted a contract for the City Hall Parking Lots Reconstruction Project;
and,
WHEREAS, KE Flatwork has submitted a surety bond in the required amount, naming the City of
Riverdale as the owner; and,
WHEREAS, KE Flatwork has submitted a certificate of liability insurance with adequate limits, naming the
City of Riverdale as the certificate holder; and,
WHEREAS, the City wishes to proceed with the project as soon as is practicable; and,
WHEREAS, the funding source for this project is line item #301-210-6499 Capital Improvement Contract
Services.
NOW THERE FOR IT BE RESOLVED that:
Section 1. The Mayor is authorized to sign the construction agreement with KE Flatwork for the City
Hall Parking Lots Reconstruction Project.
Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute a notice to proceed with the City Hall Parking Lots
Reconstruction Project.
Section 3. Upon execution of the construction agreement and notice to proceed, KE Flatwork is
authorized to begin the City Hall Parking Lots Reconstruction Project.
