Resolution Approving an Agreement for Annual Traffic Light Maintenance
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa (City), is a Municipal Corporation, organized and operating under
the laws of the State of Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, the City owns and should maintain the three traffic lights on Highway 67 in Riverdale, Iowa,
located at State Street and South Bellingham Road, State Street and Madison Drive/Arconic main
entrance, and State Street and 110 Manor Drive/fire station; and,
WHEREAS, Davenport Electric Contract Company has proposed a three-year maintenance agreement for
each of the three traffic lights at a cost of $650 per location, per year, for a total annual price of $1,950;
and,
WHEREAS, Tri-City Electric Company has proposed a four-year maintenance agreement for each of the
three traffic lights at a cost of $527 per intersection, per year, for a total annual price of $1,581; and,
WHEREAS, the funding sources for this project are line items:
#001-240-6417 Traffic Light Maintenance (67%)
#001-150-6417 Fire Traffic Light Maintenance (33%)
NOW THERE FOR IT BE RESOLVED that:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Riverdale selects the following vendor to maintain the traffic
lights as indicated above:
❑ Davenport Electric Contract Company
Tri-City Electric Company
Section 2.
The Council of the City of Riverdale authorizes the Mayor to sign a contract with the above
selected company for annual traffic light annual maintenance with the parameters as set
forth in this Resolution.
