Leesburg Economic Development Hosts “A Conversation on
Downtown Retail and Businesses” on Thursday, September 24
Event will feature a panel discussion with local and regional retail and small
business experts.
Leesburg, VA (September 15, 2015) – On Thursday, September 24, 2015, the Town of
Leesburg’s Economic Development Office will host a special event, “A Conversation About
Downtown Retail and Businesses.” The event will be held at Palio Ristorante Italiano, located at
2 West Market Street, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
The event will feature a panel discussion with local and regional retail and small business
experts, facilitated by Miguel Salinas with Loudoun County Economic Development. Panel
participants will include representatives from the City of Frederick (MD), One Loudoun, Market
Station, Crescent Place, Reston Town Center and downtown Leesburg. Mayor Kristen Umstattd
will provide opening comments.
“The intent of this summit is to begin the conversation about Downtown Leesburg's ability to
attract and retain quality retail businesses,” said Vice Mayor Kelly Burk. “The discussion will
center around the question of what we need to do to make Downtown Leesburg a vibrant,
exciting place for people to come and for quality businesses to thrive.”
