Traffic Signal on Battlefield Parkway at the Dulles Greenway
Inoperable Due to Accident
Repairs to the traffic signal are expected to take 4 to 5 hour to complete.
Leesburg, VA (September 21, 2015 | 4:00pm) – A tractor-trailer struck one of the traffic signal
poles on Battlefield Parkway at the Dulles Greenway interchange. At the present time, only one
lane of Battlefield Parkway, between Miller Drive and Evergreen Mill Road, is open to
alternating traffic under police direction.
Repairs to the traffic signal are expected to take four to five hours to complete, with an
estimated completion time between 8:00pm and 9:00pm this evening.
Drivers should expect significant delays on Battlefield Parkway in both directions and should
avoid this area if at all possible, using Evergreen Mill Road or Sycolin Road as alternate routes.
