AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A $35,269 AGREEMENT WITH COUNTY
OF COLE FOR THE PARTNERSHIP WHEREBY THE COUNY AND CITY SHALL
SHARE AN OUTDOOR WARNING SIREN. THE CITY AGREES TO PAY THE
COUNTY FIFTY SEVEN AND ONE-HALF PERCENT OF THE TOTAL COST TO THE
COUNTY BY OUTDOOR WARNING CONSULTING, LCC ("CONTRACTOR").
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
execute an agreement with County of Cole for the outdoor warning siren in the amount
of $35,269. Funding for this procurement will come from Sales Tax "G" account number
45-990-575012. The City will pay 57.5% of the total cost to the County of Cole.
Section 2. The Agreement with the County of Cole shall be substantially the
same in form and content as that agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.

EXHIBIT A
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BY AND BETWEEN
THE COUNTY OF COLE AND
THE CITY OF JEFFERSON
FOR AN OUTDOOR WARING SIREN
THIS Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU"), executed the date last executed by a party as
indicated below by and between the County of Cole ("County") and the City of Jefferson ("City").
1. Purpose. The purpose of this MOU is to provide a framework to proceed in a partnership
whereby the County and City shall share an outdoor warning siren.
2. Cost Share. The City agrees to pay the County fifty-seven and one-half percent (57.5%) of
the total charged to the County by Outdoor Warning Consulting, LLC ("Contractor"), as
set forth below:

3. Additional Charges. The City agrees to pay any additional charges by Contractor, as set
forth below:
Rock Excavation - $725 per lineal foot
Hydro Excavation - $900 per location
4. Term. Contractor agrees to perform and complete said work by January 1, 2020.
5. Amendments. All amendments to this MOU shall be in writing by mutual agreement to
the parties, and no oral amendments shall be in force or effect whatever.
6. Notices, Consents And Approvals. If any notice is required in the course of this
partnership, such notice or payment shall be deemed to have been given if enclosed in an
envelope with sufficient postage attached to insure delivery, and deposited in the United
States mail, addressed to:
