RESOLUTION OF THF., CITY COUT~ ILAMERICAN SOCCER
LYNWOOD, AWARDING A BID
COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $5779.76 FOR 400 SOCCER
UNIFORMS ANDCOCJLIN BROS. IN THE AMOUNT OF $8571.00
FOR BASEBALL UNIFORMS AND CAPS.
\r1HEREAS, it is more economically advantageous for the Cityto award bids
to the lowest bidder; and
WHEREAS, on September 20, 1988, the City Council authorized staff to
advertise for bids for four hundred (400) baseball uniforms and caps and fouC hundred sixty
(ts60) soccer uniforms; and
WHEREAS, the opening was held October 7, 1988 and Arrherican Soccer
Company and Conlin Bros. were the lowest bidders; and
~xJHEREAS, a reference check has revealed that vendor$ has a good
reputation and the necessary experience in providing sportswear; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the bids for the purchase of baseball uniforms and caps be
awarded to Conlin Bros., who submitted the lowest bid of $8,571.00 and American Soccer
Company, who submitted the lowest bid for soccer uniforms of $5779.76.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of
Octohar , 1988.
