A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING TRAVEL TO
WASHINGTON D.C. TO ALLOW THE HOUSING AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MANAGER TO COMPLETE
COURSE REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTIFICATION AS
AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL

WHEREAS, Economic Development Finance Professional
Certification is given to individuals who successfully complete
an intensive four course economic development finance training
series which is conducted by the National Development Council;
and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Community Development Manager has
successfully completed three of the course requirements for
certification; and
WHEREAS, the final course is no longer offered in
California, but in Washington D.C.; and
WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted and approved in the
fiscal 1988-89 budget for the final course; and
WHEREAS, such expertise in-house will enhance staff's
ability to effectively utilize various economic development
financing methods to assit in the City's redevelopment efforts.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby order, determine and resolve as follows:
