the Council of Bel Harbour Vil. age met ,t 9:30 A.M. Saturday, July
Fr.sent: Messrs. Beatty, Faulkner, Hart and Sonders.
Absent: Mr. White.
Also present were W. H. Webb, Vi11,>ge Manager; Mary 1. Wetter
Vill.:ye Clerk; and Thomas H. Anderson, Village Attorney.

After roll call the Council convened as a Hoard of Equalization for
the 1964 Tax Roll. IMr. Webb informed the members that no complaints were
registered with his office rs to our assessments for 1964 and in this connec-
tion asked the Council to recess as a board of Lgualization and reconvene for
the regular meeting in case some of the t.ax.ayer•> might aLpear. On motion of
Mr. Sand•:rs, seconded by Oar. Hart and unnnimously voted, the Board of Egua.l-
ization meeting was recessed nd the Council then reconvened to consider the
regular order of business.
Mr. Hart moved to accept Lhe minutus of the Irevious me,.ting of
June 27th as submitted. Motion seconoe❑ by Mr. bandh:rs and unanimously
adopted.
The Village N nager then advised that Mr. Anderson hoe Hrrpared do
amendment to our Zoning Ordinance stating that in Use Districts 1, :'',, SH,
3C, SD, SE. :end 4, paved i,arking areas shall be provided sufficient to bark
one automobile for each living unit contained .in the main builoing in
addition, in Use District 1, there shall be a gar-,qe or carport sufficient
to park one automobile. Mr. Beatty moved to adopt

Motion seconded by Nr. Hart and unanimously ad„tilted.
Nr. Webb advised that he had aprointed Dulany J. Dupuy as Chief of
Police to succeed the l:ote G. la. Owens. Ho briefed the members on flir. Dupuy's
background and asked for r:tific:.tiun of his ap,ointment. Mr. Hart moved to
rr-tify the action cf the Village illinr�ge.r in the w4:o.intment of Dulany J. Dupuy
as Chief of Police. Notion secunded by Nr. Sanoers and unarnimL.usly adopted.
The next item for consideration w.;; the. 1964-1965 budget. After
discussion Mr. Hart moved to adult

Mr. Beatty seconded the motion and it w,.s unanimously adopted.
Thereupon Mr. Beatty moved to adopt

ADOPTING THE CATER DEPARDIENT BUDGET

mr. Hart seconded the motion and it was unanimously adopted.
The next item was consideration of the Sewer Department Budget
for 1964-1965. mr. Hart moved to adopt

mr. Sanders seconded the motion and it was unanimously adopted.
Mr. Beatty then moved to adopt
RESOLUTION NO. 122
MAKING A TAX LEVY FOR 1964
Motion seconded by Mr. Hart and unanimously adopted.
The nine month audit was considered by the Council and after dis-
cussion Mr. Hart moved to accept the nine month audit as presented. Motion
seconded by Mr. Sanders and unanimously adopted.
The Village Manager then informed the members that our Zoning Or-
dinance limits the number of stories to three in the business section of Bal
Harbour and requires set backs of 7i' front, side and rear. In view of the
fact that there has been some speculation as to the building of an office
building on 96th Street, asked for permission to have Harland Bartholomew &
Associates make a survey to determine what would be suitable for this area.
The Council agreed to have Mr. Webb contact Harland Bartholomew & Associates
to determine what fee would be charged for this type of survey.
Mr. Beatty moved to adjourn. Motion seconded by Mr. Hart and unani-
mously adopted.
The Council then reconvened as a Board of Equalization and in view
of the fact that no objections were presented from our taxpayers, Mr. Hart
moved to formally accept the Tax Roll as presented by the Assessor. Mr.
Beatty seconded the motion and it was unanimously adopted.
Mr. Beatty then moved to adjourn the Board of Equalization. Mr.
Sanders seconded the motion and it was unanimously voted.
