A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD CERTIFYING THE ENVIRONEMNTAL IMPACT
REPORT (EIR) FOR THE LONG BEACH BOULEVARD
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report was required by
' CalTrans and the Federal Highway Administration for this project; and
WHEREAS, on March 1, 1988, the City Council selected
Michael Brandman and Associates to prepare the Environmental
Impact Report; and
WHEREAS, CalTrans and FHWA required the hazardous waste
and historic property studies be added to the original EIR; and
WHEREAS, on August 2, 1988, the City Council approved the
Amendment to Agreement with Michael Brandman and Associates to
perform said additional studies; and
WHEREAS, draft EIR copies were circulated through local
and state agencies as required; and
WHEREAS, two public hearings were held to receive public
comments; and
WHEREAS, the final EIR demonstrated that all potential
impacts are either not significant or can be mitigated to a non-
significant level.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council approve the certification of
the EIR for the Long Beach Boulevard Improvement Project.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of
December 1988.
