A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO TERMINATE
NUISANCE ABATEMENT PROCEEDINGS
AGAINST CERTAIN PROPERTY
' WHEREAS, the City Council on December 6, 1988 adopted a
resolution declaring the intention to conduct a public hearing to
determine if a public nuisance was being maintained at the
corner (Southeast) lot of Otis Street and Abbott Road (Legal
Description 6192-001-OS), pursuant to Chapter 21 of the Lynwood
Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the required public hearinq to determine the
existence of a public nuisance on said property was set for
January 17, 1989; and
WHEREAS, City staff caused a Notice of Public Hearing to be
posted on said property and published in the adjudicated
newspaper; and
WHEREAS, the owner of the property has voluntarily abated the
conditions that created the basis for the public nuisance
abatement proceedings; and
WHEREAS, the owner of subject property has obtained building
perrmits and is in the process of building a single-family home
on the lot.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Lynwood does hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. Based on the aforesaid reasons evidencing that the
Owner of the subject property has voluntarily abated the existing
code violations the City Council of the City of Lynwood
determines that there is no further cause to continue this public
nuisance abatement action and therefore, resolves to terminate
the proceedings.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Lynwood held on the 17th day of
January , 1989.
