Resolution Providing for Notice of Intent to Fill
Council Vacancy by Appointment
WHEREAS, Council member Kevin Adams resigned from his position on July 11, 2023; and,
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to proceed with due speed to fill this vacancy.
NOW THERE FOR IT BE RESOLVED that:
Section 1.
The Council has determined it to be in the best interest of the City to fill the Council
vacancy created by the resignation of Kevin Adams by appointment of the Council
members in accordance with City Ordinance 5.10 and Iowa Code Section 372.13(2)(a).
Section 2. The Clerk is authorized and directed to a publish notice of Intent to Appoint in the time
and manner as required by law.
