A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
' CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING A LETTER OF
UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AND THE LYNWOOD FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION
ESTABLISHING A MANDATORY PERMANENT
MODIFIED DUTY PROGRAM
Wf~ REAS, the Assistant City Manager met and conferred with the
employee representative of the Lynwood Fire£ighters Association to discuss
specific concerns relative to a Permanent Modified Duty Program for injured
safety employees represented by the Lynwood Firefighters Association, and
WHEREAS, a Letter of Understanding between the parties has been pre-
pared and signed defining the Permanent Modified Duty Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does find that appro-
val of said Letter of Understanding is in the best interest of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the Letter of Understanding between the City of
Lynwood and the Lynwood Firefighters Association is
hereby approved.
' Section 2. That the Classification Plan for the City is amended
to include the modified duty assignment positions of
Management Aide and Chief's Aide.
Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its adoption.
