A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE REPAIRS THROUGH AN
INFORMAL BID FOR THE REHABILITATION OF
WELL NO. 5
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide the necessary
water pumping capacity to efficiently and effectively operate the
City's water system; and
WHEREAS, Well No 5 can be repaired and rehabilitated
to provide water and increase the efficiency of the water system
by increasing the pumping capacity; and
WHEREAS, the repairs can be more economically completed
if done through an informal bid; and
WHEREAS, under Section 2-62 (c) of the Lynwood Municipal
Code, Council can authorize purchases through informal bids by a 4/5
vote.
NOW, THfiREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby finds and
determines that the repairs of Well No 5 can be more efficiently
and economically effected by an informal bid procedure in that
the companies that repair water wells are limited.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
