A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING A NEW DISPLACEMENT
POLICY WHICH INCORPORATES AMENDMENTS TO THE
HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF
1974 AND THE UNIFORM RELOCATION ACT OF 1970
WHEREAS, as an Entitlement Grantee, the City of Lynwood is
required to adopt a Displacement Policy which provides relocation
assistance to persons/households displaced as a result of
activities assisted with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
funds; and
WHEREAS, such relocation assistance is to be provided in
conformance with the requirements of the Uniform Relocation Act of
1979 (URA); and
WHEREAS, CDBG regulations and the URA have recently been
amended; and
WHEREAS, the City's Displacement Policy has been revised to
incorporate such amendments.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby find, order, determine and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The attached Displacement Policy reflecting
' amendments to CDBG regulations and the Uniform Relocation Act is
hereby approved.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective
immediately upon adoption.
