' A RESOLDTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE DESTRUCTION OF RECORDS.
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has retained certain
records Which are no longer essential; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 34090 aliows the
Department Head of a City to destroy any city record, docu-
ment, or iastrument after the same is no longer required.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Citp Council of the City of
Lynwood does hereby find, determine, resolve and order as
follows:
~ECTION 1. The records to be destroyed pursuant to
this resolution do not include records which the destruction
of is specifically prohibited by Government Code §34090,
namely:
a). Records affecting the title to real property or
liens thereon;
, b). Court records;
c). Records required to be kept by stature;
d). Records less than two years old;
e). The minutes, ordinances or resolutions of the
leqislative body of the City of Lynwood.
SECTION 2. The consent of the City Attorney has been
obtained prior to the destruction of any and all City records
pursuant to this reaolution.
$ECTION 3. The City Clerk of the City of Lynwood is
hereby authorized to destroy the following records:
Employee Compensation Records (excludinq W-2's) 1949 to 1960
Payroll Status Reports (duplicates on file in Personnel)
Payroll Recap Reports 1950 to 1978
Payroll Deduction Reports 1968 to 1980
Miscellaneous Receipts (duplicate copies) 1981 to 1983
' Federal Deposit Coupons 1943 to 1965
Petty Cash Worksheets 1961 to 1977
Employee Attendance Recorda 1967 to 1977
