A RESOLUTION OF THE CZTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE REPAIRS THROUGH AN
INFORMAL BID FOR WATER WELL NO. 19
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provi.de the necessary
' water pumping ca,pacity to efficiently and effectively operate the
City's water system; and
WHEREAS, Well No. 19 is dismantled and the pump and
line shaft is being repaired; and
WHEREAS, the motor and casing for Well No. 19 can be
repaired and serviced increasing the reliability and efficiency
of the well; and
WHEREAS, the repairs and service can be most
practically completed by McCalla Brothers, the contractor who is
working on the well for $13,500; and
WHEREAS, under Section 2-62 (c) of the Lynwood Municipal
Code, Council can authorize purchases by negotiated contracts
through informal bids by a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby finds and
determines that the repairs of Well No. 19 can be more efficiently
and economically effected by negotiated contract through the
~ informal bid procedure in that MeCalla Brothers is currently
working on the well.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
