HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 84-2265RESOLUTION NO. 84 -2265 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF NEW CONTRACT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES OF THE SHERIFF OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY WHEREAS, the Sheriff of Los Angeles County has heretofore acted as the law enforcement agency of the City of Temple City by contract with the County of Los Angeles; and WHEREAS, the City of Temple City desires to renew its contract with the County of Los Angeles for law enforcement services of the Sheriff of Los Angeles County under the current rates of the County of Los Angeles. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to enter into that certain contract, subject to termination with 60 days notice, with the County of Los Angeles, upon written notice by the Sheriff's Department of increase in the rate for any service, or subject to termination with 60 days notice prior to the first day of July of any year, a copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof as though set forth in full, the City Clerk to attest to said contract as provided thereon. SECTION 2. It is hereby requested that the Board of Supervisors or its designated agent or agency approve and authorize the perfor- mance of services requested in this resolution subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the contract attached to this resolution as Exhibit "A ". SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and cause a certified copy thereof to be forwarded to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, the Sheriff's Office of Los Angeles County, and the Chief Administrative Officer of Los Angeles County. APPROVED and ADOPTED this 1st day of May, 1984. ATTEST: I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting held on the 1st day of May, 1984, by the following vote of the Council.
