RESOLUTION NO. 84 -2267
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY DECLARING CERTAIN PREMISES TO BE A
PUBLIC NUISANCE, AND ORDERING ABATEMENT THEREOF
FOR THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Planning commission of the City of Temple City has,
by Resolution No. 84- 1119PC, determined that a public nuisance as de-
fined in the Municipal Code, exists on certain premises and recommends
abatement thereof; and
WHEREAS, no appeal has been taken from said determination with
respect to time in which to abate the nuisance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. That a public nuisance, as defined in the Municipal
Code of the City of Temple City, exists on the premises designated as
6256 Burton (San Gabriel) City of Temple City, California, and more
particularly described as Portion of Lot 3, Tract 5903, M.B. 67, p.
59 of maps in the Office of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, in the following particulars:
A. Trailers, campers, boats and other mobile equipment
stored for unreasonable periods in yard areas open to
view from the street which causes depreciation of near-
by property values. Section 4230(j)
B. Neglect of premises (1) to spite the neighbors or (2) to
influence zone changes, or (3) to cause detrimental effect
upon nearby property or property values. Section 4230(q)
C. Property maintained in such condition as to become so
defective, unsightly, or in such condition of deterioration
or disrepair that same causes depreciable diminution of the
property values of surrounding properties or is materially
detrimental to proximal properties and improvements.
Section 4230(s)
SECTION 2. The property owner is ordered to abate the nuisance
by removal of camper shells from the front yard area and maintenance
of area once camper shells are removed within 30 days.
SECTION 3. If said abatement is not accomplished by the expira-
tion of 30 days, the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to cause said public nuisance to be abated by City forces or private
contractor pursuant to the Municipal Code.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy
of this Resolution to be served on the owner of said premises pur-
suant to the Municipal Code.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
