MOTION 2021-127
I move pursuant to §§ 2.2-3711(A)(3) , 2.2-3711(A)(7) and 2.2-3711(A)(8) of the Code
of Virginia that the Leesburg Town Council convene in a closed meeting for the
purpose of discussion and receiving information regarding the potential acquisition of
real properties for a public purpose and consultation with legal counsel and briefings
by staff members pertaining to the pending litigation of Town of Leesburg et al v.
Loudoun County et al, Loudoun County Circuit Court No. 19-1768 where such
consultation in open session would adversely affect the negotiating or litigating
posture of the Town; and consultation with legal counsel regarding specific legal
matters requiring the provision of legal advice by such counsel, and pertaining to
a potential annexation and/or boundary line agreement with respect to the JLMA.
