AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM FEDERAL
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has grant funding available;
WHEREAS, the Richmond Fire Department desires to submit a grant application to assist with the costs associated with purchasing new capital equipment and to replace and update the Department’s
radio communication equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The Richmond Fire Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to FEMA to assist with the costs associated with purchasing new capital equipment and to replace and
update the Department’s radio communication equipment.
2. The Richmond Fire Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to One Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($175,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the Richmond Fire Department, shall be appropriated for assistance with the costs associated with purchasing new capital equipment and to replace and update
the Department’s radio communication equipment.
Passed and adopted this 16th day of April, 2001, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
