Leesburg Parks & Recreation Department Wins Five
International Festivals & Events Association Pinnacle Awards
Leesburg, VA (October 15, 2015) – At the 2015 International Festivals & Events Association
(IFEA) annual convention & expo, the Town of Leesburg’s Parks & Recreation Department
received five awards in the prestigious IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards competition.
The newspaper ad for the Memorial Day
Observance (pictured at right) won a Gold
award in Best Single Newspaper Display Ad
category. In addition, the Leesburg
Independence Day Celebration won a Silver
award in the Best Miscellaneous Printed
Materials (Single Page) category and the
promotional campaign for the Leesburg Flower
and Garden Festival won Silver awards in the
Best Company Image Pieces, Best Single
Magazine Display Ad and Best Ad Series
categories.
Each year, the IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle
Awards recognize outstanding accomplishment
and top quality creative, promotional,
operational and community outreach
programs and materials produced by festivals
and events around the world. Sponsored by
Haas & Wilkerson Insurance, the professional
competition draws entries from among the
world’s top festivals and events. Awards are
presented in 68 different subject categories, each divided into four budget categories. Leesburg
competed in the “Under $250,000” budget category.
