A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ADOPTING
THE POLICY ENTITLED: "THE CITY OF LYNWOOD SPEED HUMP INSTALLATION
POLICY GUIDELINES AND PROCEDURES" AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
ENGINEER TO IMPLEMENT SAID POLICY
WHEREAS, staff receives requests to install speed humps to control speeding
>_°°` on residential streets; and
~~ WHEREAS, speed humps are now one of many acceptable traffic calming
devices for use on residential streets; and
WHEREAS, the City does not currently have a standard policy, guidelines and
procedures for speed hump installation; and
WHEREAS, engineering staff has developed the Speed Hump Installation Policy
Guidelines and Procedure for use.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve, order, and determine
as follows:
Section 1. That City Council of the City of Lynwood adopts the Speed Hump
Installation Policy Guidelines and Procedures.
Section 2. That the City Engineer is authorized to implement said policy
effective January 1, 2009.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
~ Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
