A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
ADOPTING A COMPREHENSIVE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
(MOU) BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE LYNWOOD EMPLOYEES'
ASSOCIATION (LEA) AND SETTING FORTH ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
AFFECTING WAGES, HOURS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
'; WHEREAS, the current Memorandum of Understanding "MOU" between
the City of Lynwood and the Lynwood Employees' Association (LEA) expired on
June 30, 2007; and
WHEREAS, collective bargaining was conducted in good faith between
the City and designated LEA representatives in accordance with the provisions of
the Myers-Milias Brown Act; and
WHEREAS, mutual agreement between the two parties has been
reached.
NOW, THEREFORE the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
determine, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The attached comprehensive MOU (Exhibit A), which includes
all agreed upon provisions and supersedes any previous provisions, between the
City of Lynwood and the LEA is adopted.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to amend any current policies
and procedures as necessary to reflect the provisions of the attached MOU.
I Section 3. That the City Manager or his designee may carry out any
I transactions that may be necessary as so ordered by this resolution.
Section 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2"d day of December, 2008.
